I can't decide!

I cannot for the life of me figure out if this is real.

What do you think? I've read places it is real and other places he's lip-synching. It's driving me crazy not being able to confirm it!

PS. Hearing this song took me waaaaaaaaaaayyy back to my junior year boyfriend Bart. We saw this when it came out at El Capitan. It was our song. Young love. (Well, I was young. He was less young; 20 to my 16.)

PPS. (& for further evidence) Nick singing Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World" took me back to the summer between 7th & 8th grade when Kelly and I watched the movie so many times (while stringing our beads to make bracelets and necklaces) I had the entire movie dialogue memorized. (I bet that's in the recesses of my brain somewhere, taking up space. No wonder I can't remember anything now.) And that same summer I got a note from a boy at church, Caleb (who, a few years later, tragically died of a brain aneurism), who said he liked me and knowing I liked Little Mermaid, wrote some of the lyrics in the note that expressed how he felt. I don't remember them now but I was so embarrassed I ripped up the note in front of my girlfriends and flushed it down the toilet. "Memories! All alone in the moonlight!"

Jer, I don't get the "ahead of the bread line" comment...Please'splain. Gracias, hombre.

And how to do you for sure he's lip-synching? Did you use your mad researcher skilz to solve the mystery?

Oh wait! I think I get it, "One jump ahead of the bread line...I steal only what I can afford! (That's Everything!)"

Thank you. I thought it was "step" ahead. Sorry!
I can take a hint, gotta face the facts. I could use a friend or two!!!

I think it is fake, but he has several Youtube videos.

Sorry Sweetie, He's not singing "Part of Your World" from the Little Mermaid, which Ariel sings by herself, not a duet. He is actually singing "A Whole New World", From the movie Alladin.

It's really sad that I know these things, but I'm the mother of a preschooler who is very much into Disney Princesses right now.

It kinda looks like lip singing to me.
After I finished listening to Nick, Emily said, "Hers a really good singer, mamma". Another alternative that hadn't occured to me.

Yeah, the You Tube clip I pasted is a duet from Alladin but the extra link in the PPS "for further evidence" is from Little Mermaid. He's done several and to make it easier for others to judge I thought I'd include a couple of options. :-)

oops
Sorry, I missed that. I guess I should wake up a little before attempting to read/respond to blogs next time.
