Road Trip with Anne: Day 1

And we're off!

Day 1 was allocated for driving north to St. George, UT, with a few hours break in Las Vegas to meet up with Anne's vacationing friends, Elin & Morten, and their 2-year old twin girls. Elin treated us to lunch at Treasure Island buffet (where else does one eat when one is in Vegas, but at a buffet??) after which time we worked off the desserts we ate (perhaps the best part of a buffet, the dessert bar?) with a walk around the Forum Shops at Caesars.

Where did you start your road trip. How long has it been so far? Just wondering. Oh yeah, what are you using to shoot the photos. It looks like something that would develop by using slide film. But it seems digital. Digital SLR perhaps? What settings? Oh and those little girls are so cute. haha. Oh, hey, save your gas receipts when filling up. Tomorrow, Jack In The Box will be having a promotion. TWO FREE TACOS DAY. All you have to do is present any gas fill-up receipt and you'll get TWO FREE TACOS. Easy as it. My friends and I will be making a day of it. Hahah there are like 7 Jacks around my area. TacoFest!!! LoL.

Have fun and be safe on your trip.

Hi Tom! Thanks for the comment.

(Do I know you?)

We started our road trip from the Los Angeles area and went north to various national parks in Utah & Arizona. We are back home now but stay tuned for posts of our other days on the road.

I shoot with a Nikon D80 and then do editing (mostly minor, with occasional "creative" editing, depending on the image) in Photoshop Elements. As for settings, each picture is often different, depending on the location and desired effect for the photo. If you're really interested, click on each photo, which will take you to my Flickr page, where you can then see "More Properties" for all the Exif data.
