- I just learned that one of my favorite tv shows, Men In Trees, has been canceled. Boo! Fortunately for viewers they had already taped an alternate "series ending" episode, which will air this summer. Say what you will about "The Aliens are Coming!" Anne Heche, she's absolutely likeable in this role.
In other news..
- May seems to be the month of birthdays. I attended two parties this weekend, celebrate two more this week, with two long-distance friends celebrating in a couple weeks. A fun (& expensive) month.

- As time goes on, I'm realizing what an expensive hobby photography is. Sure, you can make do with a camera body & a couple of lenses, but if you want to stretch yourself, as a photographer and/or artistically, then there are a zillion things that you could use, like a tripod and different lenses that specialize in certain shots (wide-angle, fish-eye, telephoto, super-telephoto, etc, etc.). I could spend thousands of dollars and still find fun things to buy.

- Getting up at 4am to shoot a sunrise, which turns out to not be that spectacular, is disappointing. And annoying. And tiring. It's tiring getting up at 4am.

- After a 30-day trial, I've become an Adobe Lightroom fanatic. If I wasn't trying to save money I'd buy the $300 software right this instant. But because I can get it through Academic Superstore for $99 if I wait until August when I'm officially registered for school (and can show proof of such), then I have to learn to live without it for the next 3 months. Boo! Waaaaaaaaaahhhh! Elements takes forever and Camera Raw just isn't the same.

- I'm SO glad Project 365 has finally started, though I must confess I am wracked with indecision each day while trying to choose the photo that will forever represent that 24-hour period.

- I HEART Photography! Some might call it an obsession; I insist it's just a hobby. I've always wanted a hobby. After 30 years I finally found mine.

Yes, May is a fantastic month to be born in! Along with myself, I have at least 4 friends that I can think of that live within 4 blocks of me that all have May birthdays. There are three of us in my department that have birthdays three days in a row this month.
We're just cool.
I can't believe Men in Trees is being cancelled! Joe and I LOVE that show! Can we start a letter writing campaign? We will now never know if the pastor and the hooker go "all the way"!!
Coco--I'm cracking up at that statement about the pastor & the hooker. Lol! Hopefully the remaining episodes & series finale will answer all our burning questions.
May is a total b-day month for me too! The most of the year!! I heart photography too. :)
