I mean SHOES.
I'm attending a wedding & reception tomorrow evening at the La Canada Country Club and though I have the dress, jewelry & purse picked out, I'm still deciding between 3 different pair of shoes. That's where you come in with all your inner-fashionista.
Here is the dress, necklace & purse. (Note :this black & muted-gold print dress is just slightly longer than knee length with a flowy A-line skirt and black satin sash at the waist.)
And here are my shoe options (Note: I don't know whether I'll be walking on grass or outside, so leave that consideration out of your choice and vote purely for appearance. **EDIT** This just in! Word is I won't be walking on grass.):
a.) Peep-toed sheer-sided sling-back pump, b.) Strappy wedge sandal, c.) Pointy-toed stilletto pump
Which shoe gets your vote?

I love this stuff!!!
You cannot go wrong with any of those choices. However, my first choice would be A because I think that they are the cutest and they will be fun and flirty with that super cute dress. B would be my second choice and C my third. Now that it is spring time, I think that C looks a little too wintery.
A is by far my favorite though!
P.S. I just discovered that my boss says 'ompen' (open) just like you do! You're not alone!!
Uh-hum!! I like I USED to say. I've re-trained myself to say it correctly.
;-P
Oh, sorry. My bad!
Well, you can know that you are not alone in your FORMER habits. :)
i love that i get to invision you at the wedding and what your wearing. how fun. i like b the best and the wedge might be the best in the grass. but... a is a little more dressy. i can't tell how dressy the dress is. my first choice b, but if its a bit more formal than a.
I say definitely B. BTW -have i seen this dress?!! Love it.
a- The dress, because of it's shiny-ness is on the dressier side.
m- You've not seen the dress as I just purchased it last night. Another Dress Barn success story! ;-)
All- Since posting I've learned that the ceremony is outside by the pool on cement (no grass) and the reception inside at the country club.
Having seen the dress in person, I vote for A, as I think B (while cute) is too casual.
I'm starting to think A. Dress Barn?!! WOW -you're amazing Kel!
First let me say that I totally forgot that you say (said) "ompen"!!! That makes me laugh EVERY time. And since I forgot all about it, that must mean you haven't said it in a while... and your retraining worked! VERY impressive!
As for the shoes... I vote for A. And since I will be your date to this wedding, my vote should count the most. So.... A it is!
L- It always made me laugh that it made you laugh every time. It does sound rather funny to hear oMpen. I have no idea where/why I ever developed that tendency but there are a couple other family members who also say it.
Hey Kel! I also like the A shoe, with B as a second choice..Cute dress by the way, luv it!...and who else in the family says it like that?...I am tryin to remember noticing you saying it like that...haha..Am I guilty of the same? haha! Luv ya!
S- Kir says it for sure, as does Jeff (though he may have been influenced by Kir originally). I think my mom & dad may say it on occasion too. I can't recall if I've heard you say it before...?
I had forgotten that you used to say that until one day I realized that my boss says it. It makes me laugh a little each time I hear it...
A is probably my first pick, followed by C if there is any chance that you might be cold. While all 3 are cute, I feel that b is too...how can I say this...ok i give up on diplomacy--'hoochy' for the occasion (sorry, that's just my opinion.)It's a classy wedding, not a disco or garden party.
Me no say 'ompen.'
i vote a too.
B!I think you should donate A... and keep C for under jeans... :)
xo
I like B. But I am having a hard time visualizing.
