Six Word Memoirs

You may have heard about Smith Magazine's request in 2006 for memoirs in 6-words or less. Prompted by Hemingway's famous demonstration of how to tell a story in half a dozen words ("For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn"), readers of the publication sent in their contributions, ranging from the hilarious to the somber. These have since been compiled into the book, "Not Quite What I was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure".

Among my favorites...

"Catholic school backfired. Sin is in!"
"Found true love, married someone else."
"I still make coffee for two."
"Slightly psychotic, in a good way."

I've held onto this post as I try to find 6 words that encompass my life, the happy and the sad. But everything I've come up with seems to leave a significant part of my life out, giving the reader an incomplete picture. And so I continue to think, and think some more. Feel free to make a suggestion for my life.

If you were to write your memoir in six words, what would you say?
