In other news...

  • I had to enter "Illinois" as "State of Residence" for my financial aid paperwork. That was strange. The word "Illinois" is kinda strange. Say it out loud several times in a row.

  • I am eternally grateful to be living with Ginger right now. Not only for her dear friendship and sunny personality, but for her central A/C. Praise Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit.
In other news...
  • I'm excited about Project 365 and just want it to start already! Eager to see what randomness I'll capture throughout this next year. Be prepared for randomness.

  • To try and be more healthy, Ginger and I have committed to planning out our meals for the week. So far I've only planned one day, and it looks like this: Breakfast--Raisin Bran w/ NF milk, Snack--Grapes & TJ's Light String Cheese, Lunch--Lean Pocket & Orange, Snack--1 Samoa cookie & Grapes, Dinner--Chicken Enchiladas & Pinto Beans. We're also planning to get up at 5:55am and go for a walk 3 times a week.
In other news...
  • Ginger & I tried a new church yesterday. We think they used a fog machine. (Is that strange to anyone else?) It's either that or the drummer was smokin' something. Not sure which I'd rather see.
Happy Monday!

Yes, Illinois is a strange word. Just don't pronounce the s at the end. That will give you away for sure!
I'm excited for Project 365 as well! I've been thinking of all the things that I can take pictures of. Be prepared for lots of pictures of my coffee and my shoes.
Yes, I think it's strange if they used a fog machine in church. Was it a rock concert or a time of worship. I'm just not a fan of churches that are all about the show.

During worship. And the funny thing was it was this lame blast of fog and added nothing to the mood. Not sure if they were trying to be cool or something malfunctioned.

(I don't believe I've ever pronounced the -s at the end but I will certainly make sure I don't!)

A fog machine? In church? At the risk of sounding like some fuddy-duddy complaining about "Satan's evil electric guitar" in worship, I must say that this is wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Let's hope there was just a small electrical fire or something and that they were not, in fact, trying to Vegas-ize their service. Was this CCV?

Alright, am I the only one who always gets these word verification things wrong? Seriously, I get nervous when I'm going to comment now, afraid that I'll--once again--get my answer rejected and have to try again.

I'm fine with candles or dim lights to help set the tone or mood, but a FOG machine?! And yes, it was CCV.

Re. the word verification thing, the past week they've been REALLY long and all mushed together so it's difficult to decipher the characters. I hate word verification. Sorry to subject you to it.

Um...where was this church?! and Way to go Ging and Kel!

I checked with someone here at work who used to attend CCV, and she said the fog machine is a regular feature in their worship there. Gag.
