A letter to their Mom

Dear Samuel & Lance's Mom,

In case you were wondering about the wet socks on the bathroom sink, the pants drying over the shower rod, or the soaked tennies on the back patio table...

You see, the fountain was just too good to resist. Samuel was reticent at first, saying a few times, "Ok, Lance, it's time to go." That is, until I dared him. (I'm a good Auntie like that.) Even dared, though, he was still responsible about not getting too wet.

Lance tempted fate a few times and got nailed. The funniest time was when he stepped over the spout and the fountain chose that exact moment to shoot straight up. He laughed the laugh of a 5-year old who is not sure he really thinks it is funny.

And in case you were wondering why they aren't begging for chicken nuggets today, it's because they ate 2 dozen yesterday. When Lance arrived at my house around 9:30am the first question he asked as he hugged me hello was, "Kelly, can we go to McDonalds?" And you know I can't resist that. Although you tell me they sucker everyone into buying them McD's because you rarely do, I'm ok with being a sucker. After all, when it comes to these boys, I already am.

Love, Aunt Kelly
