A game of Christmas Tag

1.Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper. I love choosing a wrapping theme.
2. Real tree or artificial? Real! I love going to the lot to pick one out.
3. When do you put up the tree? Usually within a few days after Thanksgiving. I want the joy to be around all season.
4. When do you take the tree down? The first week of January.
5. Which do you prefer: Hot chocolate or Apple Cider? Hot Chocolate. And Cider. :-)
6. Favorite gift received as a child? EZ-Bake Oven. I was 14 (but had been wishing for it since I was 8 or so).
7. Do you have a nativity scene? No, but I've been looking for a couple of years for one I love.
8. Hardest person to buy for? My dad. No wait, my mom.
9. Easiest person to buy for? Molly (she can give you a list)
10. Worst Christmas gift ever received? A hideous black leather jacket from an old boyfriend that looked like this only without the belt and worse. He'd spent several hundred dollars on it so of course I fibbed and said it was great (and then only wore it once or twice, and only around him).
11. Mail or email Christmas card? Mail. I love to receive Christmas cards (especially ones with pictures) so I try to make the same effort.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? White Christmas or Christmas Vacation
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Whenever I am inspired (this year it was Sept/Oct with only a few gifts left for Dec).
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Not that I can remember...
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Ham & cheesy potatoes together in one bite.
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear (though I love the amber colored lights my parents had for a few years)
17. Favorite Christmas song? Oh Holy Night
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I enjoy "traveling" someplace for Christmas; for some reason it makes the holiday seem more festive.
19. Can you name Santa's reindeer? Yep, though Dasher is my favorite. I like his speedy-skills.
20. Do you have an Angel on top or a star? A star. I haven't found an angel I like; they are often too frilly for my taste.

Tag, you're it!

Gag, that leather jacket is hideous. This was fun! I will copy and reciprocate on my blog post haste.

So am I supposed to put my responses here in the comment section? Well, that's what I'm going to do!

1. Wrapping paper, though I don't ever have a theme.
2. REAL! I LOVE the smell.
3. Either Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving...I'm just like you, Kell, I like to enjoy the tree all season long.
4. I can't really remember when we take it down, but probably the first week in January...or whenever we return from our travels.
5. I love both. If I had to choose one, I'd pick hot chocolate without marshmallows, but I'd sit next to someone having apple cider so I could smell it's yummy-ness.
6. This is going to sound so silly, but it's the first thing I thought of: My sisters made me a notepad when they were both in school but I didn't go yet...just lined notebook paper covered on front and back with pieces of cardboard that they drew a smiley face and wrote "We love you."
7. No.
8. My mom.
9. All my nieces and nephews are easy.
10. I can't think of one.
11. Mail. Love 'em.
12. I'm a big Jimmy Stewart fan, so It's A Wonderful Life...though Dave teases me that until recently I never actually saw the whole thing (which is true).
13. Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but I still haven't started this year.
14. Not a real gift, but in junior high my friends and I always did secret santas. One year, one of my friends and I drew each others name...well, she gave me peppermint candies in a cute little tin, and I had a cute snowman that I needed to put something in, so I put those same peppermint candies in it...won't ever do that again.
15. COOKIES!
16. Clear
17. Hmm...hard...Come All Ye Faithful
18. Both are nice.
19. Not usually! Dave can and won a starbucks gift card at his office party last year because he did name all of them. I benefited because he gave the gift card to me!
20. No tree topper yet...maybe at the after Christmas sales this year.

Whew, this was by far my longest comment ever! Fun!
