...How quickly life passes by?
My last post mentioned something about how weeks had passed since my prior posting, and now, again, I can say the same, except that this time, it's been months, rather than mere weeks.
What has happened in the last months? Let me count the...
1.) I finished spring semester at PCC, and the 5 classes I was taking. 4.0, thank you very much.
2.) I finished a summer intensive at PCC. I somehow managed to still get an A in that class, despite getting a C on the final...I had it all calculated, how many points I had to get on the final in order to still get an A. Glad my rudimentary math skills were correct.
3.) Summer break was brief, about 4 weeks. In that time I....watched a lot of tv, read some books, and waited for my niece to arrive.
4.) My niece arrived! August 9, 2006 @ 12:12pm, after 36 hours of labor, Audrey Faith Morris was born, precious, healthy and rarin' to go.
5.) At the end of August, I started a class at Citrus College and my Bachelor's completion program at APU. By the end of November 2007, I should be all done with my BS. in Org. Leadership. Boy, do I look forward to that day!
6.) In between school and work, I managed to squeeze out 6 days of free time, and have taken up residence at the Morris household, to spend time with Brandi, Mike & Audrey. Ok, so it's mostly to spend time with Audrey. :-) And she's still just precious and adorable and healthy. (See above.)

Isn't it funny...

So yeah...
When I started the blog back in February, I even questioned myself as to how long this "fun new thing" would last...2 days. Albeit, in my defense, I did start school, and taking 5 classes along with working full-time and various church committments and friends, and family and life, so I think that, if pressed, I could probably defend myself.
So there's my defense.
I'll try to be better now. Especially if I start to actually tell people I have this thing. I should probably give them something to read.
For now I'll leave you with this question:
Why can't I seem to place the pictures I want WHERE I want them in the course of the blog? Anyone who has the answer to that riddle is my new best friend.
Thanks much.

Punk'd
For all of those that have seen Ashton Kutcher's MTV show "PUNK'D!" you know how cringe-worthy it can be as these celebs are put in awkward situations where they just don't know how to handle themselves with aplomb--it's wickedly entertaining.
I came across this comic today which turns the tables on Ashton.
I had to consider why I found this so funny. Was it the image of Jesus snickering behind the admittance podium in heaven? Was it Ashton in his trucker hat with that "Huh?" expression on his face, not knowing that he was about to be PUNK'D! himself? Certainly it's not the idea that people can actually get PUNK'D! like that in Heaven, right?
While I don't personally believe that God plays games like that, I imagine that many people do. It's what inspires them to light candles or make extravagent promises in scary situations ("I promise to NEVER think another lustful thought if only you let the Steelers win!").
I'm going to leave the witty, but inspiring object lesson to my pastor/seminary-professors/seminary-student friends to make at some future teaching. For now, I'll just enjoy the sacriligious humor of a snickering Jesus and a befuddled looking Ashton getting PUNK'D! himself, and rest easy, knowing that my future is secure and that because of who I know, I won't be PUNK'D!, at least not in Heaven.
