Yesterday I, along with my "Save the Boobies!" team of 12 and thousands of strangers, walked 5k in support of the search for a cure for breast cancer.
Although breast cancer has not personally touched my life or the lives of those closest to me, it was nonetheless inspiring to see the way others rallied around their loved ones who have survived, or who honored the memory of those who did not. The Survivor Parade, in particular, was moving as those who have kicked cancer's butt strolled by in their pink t-shirts, glad to be alive and healthy enough to walk. Our team alone raised over $10,000, thanks in large part to the contributions of KFI listeners who supported my team leader & friend Jodi Becker, a news reporter on the morning KFI shows.
Just about the best excuse for a walk ever.

Cool Kel, thanks for doing that. And on behalf of my grandma whom I was never able to meet -THANK YOU!!
If I didn't have to work, I would have been there...Crap! I lost a great grandma to this.
congrats on raising all that money!
This is awesome, Kells. And please, Lord, may it never touch any of us or anyone we love--ever.
