Much of our third day in Copenhagen was spent strolling the streets of Stroeget (the walking street with shops-a-plenty) on the hunt for a pair of brown boots for and winter boots for me. Though that particular mission went unfulfilled, a few other things made it home with us, including a couple tasty treats like French Hotdogs and nutella crepes. Jan & J-A treated us to dinner at a fabulous rustic Italian restaurant around the corner from their place. The food, and company, was fabulous, and was followed by a delicious dessert at home of J-A's Norwegian waffles with ice cream and glogg (a type of mulled wine).

Copenhagen - Day 2
Whilst visiting me in Denmark, Molly, who is of Norwegian descent, had a particular interest in going to Sweden. (Yes, Sweden. You see, M is a HUGE fan of Swedish antiques and her one wish was to see actual Swedish antiques IN Sweden.) So one day we took the train across Oeresund Sea to Malmo, a Swedish border city. Unfortunately for Molls, Malmo turned out to not be a thriving Swedish antique center, and nary a painted clock or table was to be found. (I promised we would return some other time and head further north where such furniture is plentiful.) An enjoyable day was had nonetheless, with lunch, shopping and wandering around.
Our second day concluded with a traditional Danish meal of frikadellar (a kind of meatball), roasted potatoes and brown gravy (compliments of Jan who had dinner waiting for us upon our return) followed by a movie.
Copenhagen - Day 1
(Creative title, eh?)
One of the best parts of my recent trip to Denmark was the chance to share a place I love with one of my best friends. The morning I arrived into Copenhagen, we headed out, armed with our cameras and my friends Jan & John-Arne who were our wonderful hosts and tour guides.
Sites seen: Nyhavn, Amalienborg Castle, The Little Mermaid & Tivoli

School Finals + Answers. Not necessarily connected.
Finals.
Suffice to say it's been a stressful 24 hours since I returned from Denmark yesterday afternoon. I've written several papers and turned them all in. (Not my best work, but they are DONE. And right now that's all I really care about. There's always next semester to be more diligent, right??) With just one last final tomorrow morning (yes, I should be studying right now, instead of blogging...or IM'ing with a friend), I can see the end is in sight and my future (or at least the next month off of school) looks bright.
Answers.
Recent changes in my financial situation a couple weeks ago brought on quite a bit of stress initially and I wondered how I was going meet all of my financial obligations. To make a long story short, my prayers (and those of others uttered on my behalf) were answered. Today I found out that I qualified for some additional student loans (loans that I'd previously been denied), which should be deposited into my bank account within a week or so. Yes, a little more debt, but right now I just see how clearly the Lord has provided for me, once again. Somehow or another he always come through and I wonder why I even wasted 2 days stressing over the situation.
So thanks, God, for the answers to my prayers. You really are amazing. Now...would you be sure and give me the answers to my Psychopathology final tomorrow?? Thanks!

Tired. Sad. Stressed. Glad.
Tired because I spent 17+ hours taking pictures at a wedding yesterday.
Sad because I have to leave a place I love.
Stressed because I have 3 1/2 papers to research for and write, all due within 24-48 hours, none of which I've started.
Glad because I've so enjoyed being back in my adopted home-country of Denmark.
It was fun to see them and share a favorite place with her.
And of course love on this little one and her parents.
And to celebrate with them.
More to come when I finish with finals week.
